Pastor Linwood C. Stone was born in Dadeville, Alabama and moved north at an early age to Westbury, NY.  It was here that he was educated and initially exposed to the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

He was baptized as a member of the small Bethany Church in Westbury and participated in various church programs and functions with other churches on Long Island in New York.

After graduating from high school, Pastor Stone studied at Oakwood University and obtained a B.S. degree in Business Administration with minors in Theology and Accounting.  A few years later he received his Masters in Business Administration from Governors State University in Illinois.

Since entering church work with the Seventh-day Adventist denomination, Elder Stone has spent many years serving in the treasury departments of the Lake Region Conference and the South Atlantic Conference. Additionally, he pastored the Hopkins Park, IL church while serving as treasurer of the Lake Region Conference for a short period and is an ordained minister of the gospel.  Since September, 2006, he has served as the Associate Pastor of the Atlanta Berean Church.

Pastor Stone is happily married to Dr. Jennifer (Mosley) Stone, a dentist and also an Oakwood University graduate.  They are the parents of three children, Jailyn (son-in-law Matthew), Tyler, and Cicily.
