For more than four decades, New Hope has been built upon faith, sacrifice, prayer, and a steadfast belief that God would bless every step taken in His name.

This history honors the pioneers, pastors, leaders, and members whose dedication transformed a dream into a vibrant church family.
Humble Beginnings
New Hope Seventh-day Adventist Church began with an enthusiastic group of forty-four Seventh-day Adventists from Boulevard, Decatur, West End, and Mount Olive Seventh-day Adventist churches. United by a shared burden to spread the love of Christ throughout the Conley area, these faithful believers envisioned establishing a new congregation where lives could be transformed through the gospel.
The idea originated with Patmah Davis, whose vision inspired the group to move forward.
Together, they submitted a letter to the South Atlantic Conference expressing their desire to organize a new church.
While searching for a place to worship, Patmah Davis and Una Assam discovered Cedar Grove United Methodist Church on Bouldercrest Road. Pastor Martha Forrest graciously welcomed the group to use the church for Sabbath services, while Miriam Petty coordinated the arrangements.
