The 42nd Annual Hunger Walk Run took place on March 15, 2026, and, once again, the New Hope Seventh-day Adventist Church participated in the event both in person at The Home Depot Backyard in Atlanta, Georgia, and virtually on the church grounds.
While our Food Pantry remained open to serve 57 households, totaling approximately 173 individuals, the New Hope Adventurers—Peyton, Jaide, and Kamran—each walked the entire distance in Atlanta and finished in an impressive 1 hour and 2 minutes. We are truly proud of the dedication shown by these young participants.
Family and friends of New Hope, Kofi Christie, and Adrienne Parks also participated in the main event in Atlanta.
Simultaneously, our Food Pantry representatives — Director Novlette Forrester, Pauline Cameron, and Ornell Ramsey — completed the virtual walk around the church grounds.
This year, our Food Pantry raised over $1,900 towards the Hunger Walk. This is a significant achievement that will directly support our mission to address food disparity within our community. These collective efforts, combined with the remarkable generosity of our donors, ensure that we can continue to provide essential resources to those in need.
Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership in this work.
